Leave No Trace Camp Name: Ultra Stunt Danger Academy Background: We received a green on the LNT map the last two years! Estimated Popluation: 8 Nature and scale of our activities: Small scale - simply housing for support team for my art project. Our plan is to keep our camp areas *meticulously* clean during all points of the event. We will do what it takes to protect the desert and surrounding areas. Our camp leader, David Madison, is also our LNT leader/ambassador. Our camp citizens are all experienced LNT burners or are led by experienced burners. We have learned through the extra work from difficult, prior years, that we can follow some extremely diligent and simple practices to avoid LNT issues from even starting. We have learned and know how to reduce our waste, and we haul all of our waste and recycling out. No exceptions. We do not allow anything to accumulate in public spaces that can blow away. No exceptions. We do not allow any grey water evaporation ponds. We haul out *everything* that we bring. At the end of the event each citizen of the town does two hours of cleanup on the open playa. Our camp cleanup is simple, we pack up the town, and then, since we generally leave later than our neighbors, we do complete walking sweeps of our area and the immediate vicinity, where a sweep consists of a slow line marching back and forth going along the playa with, effectively, a fine tooth comb. We repeat the sweeps until a sweep doesn't reveal anymore MOOP, usually the third time is the charm.
